Sponge iron prices in Rourkela, Odisha fell by INR 300/t on 9 Aug’21, market sources informed SteelMint. Current offers for C-DRI (FeM 80%, 70:30 mix material) stands at INR 32,200/t exw.
- Around 3,300 t deals were confirmed at INR 32,100-32,400/t exw Rourkela. According to sources, falling billet and iron ore prices led to a decrease in offers.
- A deal of 500-700 t of FeM 80-82% C-DRI lumps was also reported to Jalna at INR 33,000/t exw.
