Sponge C-DRI (FeM 80%) prices in Odisha’s Rourkela stayed unchanged at INR 32,500/t ($437) exw on 6 Aug’21. Around 2,200 t of deals were confirmed in the price range of INR 32,200-32,600/t exw. A deal for 1,400 t (FeM 80-82%) of C-DRI lumps was reported to Jalna at INR 33,500/t exw. According to sources, sponge iron prices are likely to find support on active demand and tight supplies.
