China: Shagang’s BOF maintenance to affect 0.10 mn t steel production

China’s Jiangsu Shagang Group has planned to shut down its basic oxygen furnace (BOF) for 15 days for maintenance. This will affect total crude steel production to the tune of 106,500 t (7,100 t per day). Besides, it has also put its rebar production line on maintenance for 12 days, affecting total output of 31,800 t (2.650 t per day), SteelMint learnt from latest reports.
