Australian premium hard coking coal price increased by $0.50/t to $216/t FoB on 3 Aug’21, as restocking demand emerged from Indian end-users, while availability concerns continue to persist for spot cargoes of premium coking coal. In the Chinese market, buyers had to seek alternatives from non-Australian suppliers, as domestic supply is insufficient to meet restocking needs.
