Russian mining and steel major, Metalloinvest, released its H1 and Q2 CY’21 results on 3 Aug’21. Highlights:
- Crude steel production in H1 was recorded at 2.48 mn t, down 2.3% y-o-y. The decrease in output has been attributed to less number of working days and change in the product mix of the manufacturer.
- In Q2, crude steel output dropped by 2% to 1.25 mn t.
- HBI/DRI output in H1 totalled 3.8 mn t, down 5.4% y-o-y. In Q2, the same fell by 9.6% to 1.83 mn t.
