Ferrous scrap import prices into Turkey have fallen significantly by $5/t against last week’s closing, sources informed SteelMint. A West Marmara-based steel mill has booked two different US bulk scrap cargoes.
- While, the cargo comprises HMS 1/2 (80:20) at $464/t, the other contains bonus/shredded scrap at $479/t CFR Turkey.
- Another cargo comprises HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $463/t CFR and shredded/bonus at $478/t on CFR levels.
