- Japan’s leading EAF steel mill, Tokyo Steel, has decreased scrap purchase prices by JPY 500/t ($5) for its Tahara steelworks. However, prices for other works remain unchanged.
- After today’s revision, the company would pay a bid price for H2 scrap at JPY 49,500/t ($451) for the Tahara works.
- Decline in bids by Hyundai Steel for Japanese scrap and fall in global prices have resulted in the decline in bids by Tokyo Steel.
