PSU steelmaker Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has scheduled an auction for 4,500 t of prime steel grade pig iron from Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh on 3 Aug’21. At the previous auction on 22 Jul, buyers booked 5,900 t at a weighted average price of INR 37,900/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bids increased by INR 650/t ($8) compared to the previous auction on 10 Jul.
