PSU steelmaker Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction on 30 July’21 for 3,300 t (60 kg, full length) commercial rails from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Out of the total quantity offered, buyers booked a single lot of 200 t at INR 42,000/t exw. As per data maintained with SteelMint, bids dropped by INR 500/t. At the previous BSP auction on 20 Jul, 60 kg rails had been booked at INR 42,500/t exw.
