SAIL held an auction for 800 t of basic grade pig iron on 30 Jul’21 from its Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) in West Bengal. Buyers booked the entire quantity at INR 38,450/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices edged up by INR 2,850/t ($38) compared to the previous auction on 9 Jul, which was concluded at a weighted average price of INR 35,600/t exw.
