Vietnam: Hoa Phat’s crude steel output over 4 mn t in H1 CY’21

Vietnam’s Hoa Phat Group produced more than 4 mn t of steel, up 55% y-o-y in H1 CY’21, according to a recent statement issued by the company. Total steel sales were recorded at 4.3 mn t for the period, higher by over 60% y-o-y. Break-up of sales:

• Construction steel sales were 1.8 mn t, up 22% y-o-y.
• Hot-rolled coils sales stood at 1.3 mn t.
• Steel pipe sales reached 375,000 t
• Galvanised steel output were recorded at 160,000 t

Hoa Phat Group expects to commission its Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex 2 by early CY’22.
