The Steel Recycling Business of Tata Steel based at Rohtak in Haryana has recently dispatched the first consignment of ‘Ferro Shred’ (shredded ferrous scrap). The deal was concluded to one of the leading shredded scrap buyers in the domestic market as well as a major importer of this particular grade – Jindal Stainless Steel. Tata Steel’s Recycling Business is a definitive green step by the steel major towards sustainable steel production. The Rohtak plant has a capacity of 0.5 mn t/year.
