Major Indian steel mills have reportedly booked around 30,000 t of HRC for export to South Korea at around $945-950/t CFR for Aug-Sept’21 shipment, sources informed SteelMint. The vessel freight rate is estimated at $45-50/t. Indian steel manufacturers are exploring export avenues due to sluggish domestic demand, SteelMint observes.
