South Korea: POSCO’s crude steel output marginally down in Q2 CY’21

South Korean steel giant POSCO has released its Q2 CY’21 results. Highlights:

• Crude steel production decreased by 1.1% q-o-q to 9.44 mn t due to maintenance at Pohang and Gwangyang works.
• Finished steel production up 1.1% to 9.01 mn t.
• Steel sales at 9 mn t, up 2.2% q-o-q and 16% y-o-y due to high domestic sales.
