India: Tata Steel books over 100,000 t iron ore fines at OMC auction

State-owned miner Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) had rescheduled its iron ore fines auction for 22 Jul’21. Steel major Tata Steel booked around 107,000 t of iron ore fines at the auction, as per SteelMint reports. OMC had cut down the quantity put to auction to 689,000 t as against 1.06 mn t offered at the previous auction on 8 Jul. Today’s auction received weak response, with only 117,000 t of material getting booked at the base price.
