SteelMint’s benchmark pellet sponge (P-DRI, FeM 80%) prices rose by INR 300/t to INR 29,500/t exw Raipur on 20 Jul’21. However, demand was slightly subdued on higher offers being floated, as buyers looked for lower prices with demand for billets weakening during the latter part of the day.
About 2,500 t of P-DRI deals were reported at INR 29,500-29,600/t versus offers at INR 29,700-800/t, exw and FoR Raipur.
DR CLO grade sponge iron deals were reported at INR 32,000-32,200/t as against offers at INR 32,200-32,400/t exw.
