Tata Metaliks has raised its basic grade pig iron prices by 2% or INR 700/t ($9) following increase in offers through the private plants as well in floated SAIL’s auction due to slight supply shortage in spot market.
- Fresh offers for basic grade pig iron (Si 1-1.5%) floated by the company stand at INR 38,700/t. Meanwhile, foundry grade pig iron offers stable & hovering at INR 41,000/t. Prices are exw-Kharagpur and applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
- Steel grade pig iron offers by Durgapur plants are in the range of INR 37,300-37,500/t exw – increased by INR 1,000/t, w-o-w, as per SteelMint assessment.
