ArcelorMittal/Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) and SAIL’s Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) have awarded contracts to equipment supplier Danieli, as per a recent statement issued by the technology provider. AM/NS India has placed an order for reverse engineering performed on its slab caster located at the Hazira steel plant for one mould, three segments and five bare segments, as well as the manufacturing of 190 tonnes of new equipment. State-owned SAIL-BSP has ordered a new top-zone and bender unit for its slab caster as the existing components are close to the end of their service life.
