Merchant pig iron major Vedanta Resources has kept offers unchanged for the Gujarat market and foundry grade material is being offered at INR 45,700-46,000/t FoR Gujarat. SteelMint’s assessment for pig iron in Ahmedabad is currently at around INR 45,000/t on FoR basis. With export orders in hand and given sufficient demand from foundry industries, Vedanta has maintained prices firm, trade sources told SteelMint.
