India: South African RB2 coal portside offers surge

Portside offers for key importers of RB2 (5,500 NAR) grade coal rose to INR 8,500/t ex-Gangavaram/Vizag today as against INR 8,000/t on 2 Jun’21 amid train derailment in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa. RB1 (6,000 NAR) grade coal prices are heard to have touched $120/t today against $114.2/t last Monday. However, a few traders were heard offering old stocks at INR 7,800/t ex-Vizag.
