Indonesia’s benchmark coal price, also known as Harga Batubara Acuan (HBA), has been set at $115.4/t for Jul’21, up 15% against June. The benchmark price had last touched the $117.6/t mark in May’11. Tight supply of coal from the country due to adverse weather conditions along with robust Chinese demand over the last few months have pushed up the benchmark price, which stood at $52/t in Jul’20.
