Ferrous scrap prices in Vietnam remain unchanged against the last SteelMint assessment published on 21 Jun’21. The current purchase price for H1 scrap is at VND 10,700/kg ($460) and VND 10,400/kg ($450) is the price set for H2 grade scrap. Trading activities from the US have improved for imported scrap as offers are falling amid limited exports and a weak domestic market. Around two to three bulk US cargoes were booked by Vietnamese mills, SteelMint confirmed from sources.
