India: SAIL restarts nut coke production at Bhilai Steel Plant

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) subsidiary Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) has restarted its nut coke complex at sinter plant No.3 to increase coke availability for blast furnaces and reduce the consumption of met coke, the steel major informed via a Tweet recently. The use of nut coke as a direct substitute for met coke in blast furnaces leads to considerable cost savings.
