Coal India subsidiary Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) has revised the surface transportation charge (STC) it imposes on customers for transporting coal from mines to the loading points. The STC, for various distance-wise slabs, has been increased marginally with respect to the previous revision carried out in Dec ’20. For distance more than 20 km, the charge will be payable at actual on lead basis. The revision will come into effect from 1 May ’21, as per the latest notification.
