Pakistan’s ferrous scrap import prices witnessed a drop since the beginning of this week, as per SteelMint assessment. Although offers from yards were heard at $540/t, CFR, those from the high seas were reported at $525-530/t, CFR.
- Trades have improved from last week and a few deals have been concluded for around 6,000 t of containerised shredded scrap of UK/EU-origin in the range of $528-533/t, CFR Port Qasim.
- SteelMint’s bi-weekly assessment for shredded scrap stands at $530/t, CFR Port Qasim, lower by $3/t against the last assessment on 22 Jun’21.
