Major chrome ore miner Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has scheduled an auction for 35,100 t of chrome ore lumps on 25 Jun’21, as per sources. The base price of various grades of chrome ore has been set higher by up to 19% on a monthly basis. The increase in base prices for the auction can be attributed to rising domestic ferrochrome prices. Currently, ferrochrome prices are hovering at INR 101,500/t, ex-Jajpur.
