India’s Manganese Ore Imports up 57% y-o-y in FY21

India’s manganese ore imports were recorded at 4.31 mn t in FY21, up around 57.30% y-o-y against 2.74 mn t in FY20.

South Africa stood as the largest exporter during the year at 2.18 mn t, up 29.76% y-o-y, against 1.68 mn t in FY20. Gabon was the second largest exporter with 0.96 mn t in FY21, up 243% y-o-y. Australia exported 0.75 mn t while Brazil exported 0.28 mn t.
