Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction today for 100,000 t of iron ore tailings from its Barsua mine in Odisha. The auction received bids for the entire material offered at INR 7,350-7,430/t (ex-mines, including royalty, DMF, NMET and other statutory levies), according to market sources. The material put to auction was of Fe 59.8% grade and fetched around INR 1,000/t more compared to the previous auction by SAIL for similar grade on 28 May’21.
