Russian steel major MMK Group is planning to build a coke oven battery complex with a production capacity of 2.5 mn t per year, the company informed in a recent release. The complex will be built in two stages. The first stage involves construction of two coke oven battery units, two dry quenching units and separate de-sulphurisation and de-nitration units with capacity of 1.25 mn t/year. In the second stage, two more coke oven battery units with processing facilities of 1.25 mn t/year will be built.
