Taiwanese steel major China Steel Corporation (CSC) recorded sales of carbon steel at 822,458 t in May’21, up 2.4% m-o-m compared to 803,315 t in Apr, according to a company release. The steelmaker registered 12.6% y-o-y growth in sales against 730,444 t in May’20. The growth is attributed to strong demand for steel both in the domestic and overseas markets. The company’s steel sales in Jan-May’21 stand at 4.11 mn t.
