Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Government of India Enterprise, offering Pig iron (basic grade) for sale from Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) through its open offer.
The said consignment will be available for sale on “As is Where is” and “No Complaint” basis against 100% payment by Rail/Road.

Grade: Basic
Total Quantity: 15,000 MT
- PCM-I: 5,000 MT +/- 20%
- PCM-II: 10,000 MT +/- 20%
Price
- PCM-I: INR 23,000/MT
- PCM-II: INR 23,000/MT
Given prices are exclusive of taxes & duties and will be applicable as on dispatch date.
Minimum Booking Quantity
50 MT or its multiple for road dispatch; whereas for rail it should be full rake load.
Loading
- Loading shall be done by RSP; free of cost in case of rail delivery. However railway freight to be paid before issue of release order
- Loading shall be done by the concerned party with its own labor & equipment for which loading charges shall be declared along with application for charging service tax. Road delivery procedure at RSP shall be applicable

- Sale period: 01-31 May, 2014
Dispatches will be against 100% advance payment.

Pig iron offered in Rourkela & Cuttack at INR 24,000/MT & INR 23,000-23,500/MT (basic price) respectively.
A manufacturer at Rourkela said, “Demand in Odisha has improved and we shall think of correcting our prices once SAIL-Roukela starts dispatching its Pig iron at INR 23,000/MT. But, till then we will maintain our offers at same level.”
