SAIL conducted an auction for 1,200 t silicomanganese (0-3mm and 3-10mm of grade 56/16) from its Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant in Maharashtra on 15 Jun’21. Out of the total quantity on offer, 400 t (0-3mm) closed without any result due to the base price being on the higher side. For 3-10mm material, out of 800 t buyers booked 600 t at INR 86,300/t, exw, as per data maintained with SteelMint. Bid prices for 3-10mm material increased by 8,500/t ($115), exw.
