Tata Steel Group’s steel production dipped 6.90% in 2020 and the World Steel Association (WSA) ranking dropped from 9th in 2019 to 12th in 2020.
Government-owned steel giant Steel Authority of India Ltd’s (SAIL’s) production dropped 7.48% in 2020 while its WSA ranking dropped from 18th in 2019 to 24th in 2020.
JSW Steel saw a production decline of 8.61% in 2020 and WSA ranking drop from 17th in 2019 to 25th in 2020.
Jindal Steel and Power Ltd’s (JSPL’s) production increased 19.20% in 2020. However, its WSA ranking improved from 57th in 2019 to 53rd in 2020.
Government-owned Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (Vizag Steel) saw a production drop of 17.77% in 2020. Its WSA ranking declined from 71st in 2019 to 90th in 2020.
