Indonesia: Ferrous scrap imports up 13% in Apr’21

Indonesia, an emerging ferrous scrap import market, recorded total scrap imports at 90,000 t in Apr’21 against 81,000 t a month ago, up by 13% as per SteelMint data. However, imports declined by 40% compared to 150,000 t in the year-ago month. The Indonesian scrap import market has been observing a demand surge for stock replenishment after a long lull.
