South Korea’s Hyundai Steel has booked a US-origin bulk scrap cargo recently, according to Steel Daily. The cargo comprised 32,000 t HMS 1 and was booked at around $515/t, CFR South Korea basis. The cargo is expected to arrive in Aug’21. Earlier this week, the steelmaker placed bids for Japanese ferrous scrap higher by JPY 1,000/t ($9) for all grades, as per SteelMint reports. Bids for H2 are now at JPY 47,000/t ($429), FoB.
