SteelMint’s benchmark sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) prices increased by INR 400/t to INR 30,800/t, exw Raipur, on 10 Jun’21. Offers climbed following an uptick in billet prices. However, bids were low for sponge iron as buyers remained cautious about booking material at higher prices.
- About 3,000 t of deals for P-DRI were reported at INR 30,700-800/t against offers of INR 30,800-31,000/t, exw and FoR Raipur.
- A few bids for DR-CLO grade sponge iron were recorded at INR 33,100-33,200/t against offers through suppliers at INR 33,400-33,600/t, exw.
