JSW Steel Ltd, a major private Indian steel producer, has reported to have increased its capacity utilisation up to 91% in May ’21 against 83% in the previous year, as SteelMint learnt the steel producer’s BSE filings. Other highlights are mentioned below:
- Crude steel output increased 10% y-o-y to 1.367 mn t in May ’21
- Rolled-flat and long products surged by 10% and 55% respectively to 0.999 mn t and 0.309 mn t.
- The company supplied over 30,000 t of liquid oxygen for medical purposes during the month.
