Amid limited availability of stocks and with no vessel arrivals at Haldia port in the near term, South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal offers at the port have been heard at INR 9,200/t. High freight rates and uncertainty over prices have so far restricted importers from buying large volumes of coal at Haldia. The prices at Gangavaram port are assessed at INR 7,900/t whereas at Paradip the same are at INR 8,400/t.
