PSU steel major Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has increased list prices of HRC and CRC by INR 5,000/t ($68) from 1 Jun ’21, sources informed SteelMint.
Current prices are as follows:
- HRC stands at INR 70,000-70,500/t
- CRC is at INR 85,000-85,500/t
Prices are on exy-Mumbai basis, excluding 18% GST. The wide gulf between global and domestic prices is providing enough headroom to Indian steel mills to lift prices, SteelMint notes.
