Odisha, India’s largest iron ore producing state’s output dropped by 26% in FY21 against 145 mn t in FY20.
However, production of Tata Steel in Odisha increased by 37% to 21.33 mn t, while JSW Steel reported 16.66 mn t this year against nil last year.
Production of OMC increased by 3% to 12.71 mn t and SAIL’s increased by 15% to 12.25 mn t. Production of India’s largest private merchant miner, Odish-based Rungta Mines, fell by 66% to 9.99 mn t.
