Sandur manganese mines in Karnataka had conducted an e-auction for 22,701t of different grades of manganese ore (Mn 22-48%) on the state-owned MSTC platform on 28 May’21. Out of the total allotted quantity, 22,386 t was sold at 10.75% higher than the floor price, as per sources. The base price for the auction was unchanged from that of the previous auction. With total purchases at 7,560 t, the state-owned Steel Authority of India was the leading buyer at the auction -booking roughly 33.7% of the total material sold.
