Leading merchant pig iron producers in West Bengal’s Durgapur, Neo Metaliks and Kajaria Iron, have raised their steel grade pig iron prices by up to INR 1,500/t, due to a sharp surge in bids at OMC’s iron ore auction on 2 Jun’21. SteelMint’s fresh price assessment for steel grade pig iron in Durgapur stands at INR 39,800/t against INR 38,500/t, exw, recorded yesterday.
