Ukraine: Zaporizhstal’s Jan-May’21 crude steel output at 1.65 mn t

Metinvest-owned steel company PJSC Zaporizhstal has released its monthly steel production figures for May’21. The highlights are as follows:

• Crude steel production is at 327,600 t, up marginally y-o-y compared to 322,200 t in May’20.
• Pig iron output down 15.2% y-o-y to 332,100 t due to maintenance shutdown since 11 May’21.
• Production of rolled products rises 3.9% y-o-y to 280,400 t against 269,700 t in May’20.
• Production of crude steel in Jan-May’21 stands at 1.65 mn t.
