India: Non-coking Coal Weekly Imports accomplish to 3 MnT

India’s Non-coking Coal weekly imports registered a decline of 9.7% compared to previous week and accomplishes about 3 MnT at the end of week 15.

SteelMint assessed that India’s weekly imports shown a slight decline of 9.7% from 3.3 MnT of preceding week. Out of the total imported Coal, around 79% comprises of Non-coking comes from different destination.

Indonesia, a major supplier of Non-coking, supplied around 2.6 MnT in the period of week 15 and registered a growth of 2% against the prior week.

The whole quantity is imported from Indonesia, South Africa & Australia. Out of the total weekly imports, India has imported around 0.04 MnT from Australia belongs to JSW Energy which imported at Jaigarh port. About 0.32 MnT of South African Non-coking imported at Krishnapatnam, Mangalore & Paradip port which belongs to KI International, Bhatia, Indian Cement, Agarawal Coal & Rawmet.

Mundra port on the West Coast of India has imported maximum quantity i.e. around 0.5 MnT of Coal, contribution of quantity was given by Adani Power, Adani Enterprises & Coastal Gujarat Power as per the consideration of 33 major & minor Indian ports. Krishnapatnam is the second highest quantity port that imported around 0.39 MnT of Non-coking.

Adani Enterprises, Adani Power & Agarawal Coal are the major importers of Non-coking at the end of week 15. Adani Enterprises has imported about 0.59 MnT Coal came from Indonesia and registered a decline of 34% compared to previous week. Adani Power & Agarawal Coal has imported around 0.39 MnT & 0.25 MnT of Coal respectively.
