Indonesian ferro chrome imports rise over 160% in Mar’21

Indonesian ferro chrome imports increased significantly by 163.6% m-o-m to 102,296 t in Mar’21. Increased production of stainless steel aided in the rise of ferro chrome imports. Moreover, chrome ore imports by the country surged by a massive 248.53% m-o-m to 51,163 t in Mar’21. Due to robust demand for stainless steel in Mar’21, many countries had increased their ferro chrome buying, SteelMint notes.
