As per SteelMint reports, steel major SAIL conducted an iron ore auction for 136,000 t of fines (Fe 62.5%) from the company’s Bolani mine in Odisha. The entire quantity offered at the auction received bids at INR 9,000-9010/t, (loaded, including Royalty, DMF, NMET as well as the additional amount as mentioned in the MMDR Amendment Act, 2021). Notably, SAIL conducted this auction for high-grade material from one of its mines in Odisha after a gap of two months: the last auction was held on 20 Mar’21).
