Heavy structural steel prices in Raipur- one of the major supply centres in central India – declined by INR 1,000/t (d-o-d), SteelMint learnt from trade sources. The current offer for 150 mm channel stands at INR 47,000/t. The manufacturers are also offering trade discounts depending on booking quantity and payment terms. As per sources, weak demand for structural steel amid high prices and falling raw material costs have combined to trigger a decline in structural steel prices.
