Indonesia: Rising thermal coal prices prompt miners to raise production targets

A sharp rise of 25% in Indonesian coal prices has prompted several coal miners in that country to raise their production targets this year. A few Indonesian miners such as Bumi Resources are aiming for a production target of 85-90 mn t in FY21. The coal output target of Indika Energy is set at 31.4 mn t up by 2% y-o-y. Harum Energy is also trying to ramp up production and sales by 25-30% this year.
