SteelMint’s benchmark sponge iron (P-DRI) prices fell by INR 400/t today to INR 30,000/t ($410), exw Raipur, Central India. Lower bids, improved availibility as well falling billet prices remained key factors behind the price correction.
- Raipur plants offered P-DRI (FeM 80%) at INR 30,000-30,200/t, exw. However a few deals were assessed at INR 30,000/t, FoR Raipur.
- Sponge C-DRI (70:30 mix) offers from Odisha were at INR 31,000/t, FoR Raipur.
- Sponge DR CLO grade was offered at INR 32,500/t and a few bids were reported at INR 32,000-32,300/t, exw.
