China: Tenova to revamp Baowu Group’s automatic roll shop

The world’s leading steel producer, China’s Baowu Steel Group has awarded global technology supplier Tenova two contracts for revamping a fully automatic roll shop for its silicon steel plant at Baoshan Iron and Steel in Shanghai. The scope of the contract includes the disassembly and relocation as well as revamping of the five Pomini roll grinders and two auto loaders, along with the complete automation system. The project is expected to be completed next year, SteelMint gleaned from media reports.
